RIGHT TO PLAY UK’S SUMMER EVENT RAISES OVER £400K
Right To Play UK’s first ever Summer Soirée event took place at London’s immersive arts venue Frameless on Wednesday 14 June 2023, raising over £400,000 for our work to protect, educate and empower children in 15 countries through the power of play.
This year's special event was a first for Right To Play in the UK, inviting guests to enjoy the immersive art galleries at Frameless during a drinks reception and a fundraising dinner in the venue’s main gallery The World Around Us.
So far, with the incredible support provided by generous donations from attendees, we’ve raised over £400,000 for Right To Play’s life-changing work. A special thank you to everyone in the room who played our interactive art-themed game of Heads or Tails, bid on a prize in our silent and live auctions, or supported the children in our programmes with a vital fundraising pledge.
Our venue at London’s Frameless gave our guests a unique opportunity to experience 360-degree footage from one of our programme countries during their seated dinner – and discover more about how their donations will bring the benefits of play-based learning and activities to the children in our programmes.
This year’s summer event had support on the night from our fantastic host, Winter Olympian and Right To Play Ambassador Chemmy Alcott, and speakers including Right To Play International CEO Susan McIsaac, Right To Play UK Chair Perihan Bassatne, and Right To Play’s Vice President Country Offices, Parvin Ngala. Author and comedian Viv Groskup also entertained guests on the night and led the competitive bidding on our live auction.

“We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who supported this year’s special event. The funds raised will help us to invest in powerful and life-changing experiences for children, inside and outside the classroom, and transform children’s lives by encouraging their understanding, their confidence, and their determination,” said Gillian McMahon, Executive Director of Right To Play UK.
